Elder Tr3y's update: Sketchy but Obedient!

THESE COMPUTERS ARE TIMED AND I'm shocked that I HAVE ONLY 11 MINUTES TO WRITE THE BIG EMAIL!!

The detail I wanted to share will not be here but that's still cool. I am in East Cleveland baby!! The nick name for Cleveland is "the land" so when we read the scripture that says if we obey His commands of God we will prosper in "THE LAND" THEY GET PUMPED!!! ha ha. I love it here. yes there are some sketchy parts but as long as we are obedient and we listen to the spirit we're fine.

I am now in the Kirtland Zone rather than the Kirtland Est Zone. which means I went from one side of the stake to the other. I am in the Cleveland 3rd Ward covering the east side of the ward boundries. and, don't tell mom this, but this is where big crap goes down. ( this color means clip from Dads letter) which means there are a lot of people in need of the gospel and who recognize that life could be better, "but know not where to find it." The members here are VERY excited with the work and we have 4 or 5 new (Called this past Sunday) Ward Missionaries who are looking to set up appointments with us and our investigators at their homes!! This is an awesome ward and area ready to FIND the TRUTH! I still love Solon of course, but it hasn't even been a week here yet! Cleveland 3rd and Solon are always battling for the best Ward in the mission :D ha ha and I get to serve in both of them!! I am so blessed and excited to work with these people.

My comp is Elder Swartzlander from Vegas. He is solid... just got done being trained and loves working hard!! We have 34 referrals from the Gladys Knight concert so we have some great WORK TO DO!!! Yep, this ward is awesome!! I am excited to see the work here grow and progress. These members are feeling the fire of the missionary work and I am LOVING THIS!! As we have met with these people from the Saints Unified Voices, many are very enthusiastic to learn about the gospel. I know that all these wonderful things, changes of my location and many needs to be met are happening and have happened for a reason!! I know that this church is true! I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and is a testament that Joseph Smith did restore the Kingdom of God onto the Earth and was called by God and His son Jesus Christ to do it. and Cleveland doesn't know all these things yet... BUT THEY WILL!!!!!!! Man le's GO!!!

I love you all and invite you to invite friends and family as directed by spirit to see the film meet the mormons!!! IT IS SO GOOD!!!! love you, mean it!!

Trey's Conference Week Update:

It's awesome to be a missionary!! If you look at how hard a mission is going to be or all of the things you have to give up you would probably never even think about going!! but just as in every situation that is true. what are the benefits? I have seen myself become more closely affiliated and familiar with the Savior as i have come to serve and love Him. i know that i have been called by God through His modern day Prophet Thomas S. Monson to do the Work that Lord needs me to do.

General Conference is coming up this weekend. Which is a meeting that is broadcasted 2 times a year to the World. This is when The Prophet of our Father in heaven who has the same authority as Prophets in Holy Writ and they speak to each of us about how we can apply the teachings of Jesus Christ in today's world as well as reveals the Current Word of the Lord. Just as Christ set up his church with 12 apostles so has His restored church. We also hear from the Current 12 Apostles as chosen by the Lamb of God as he did when he walked the earth. I am so grateful for this time to ear the words of the Lord's servants and would like to extend an invitation to everyone to invite someone who has not seen a General Conference for the LDS church to attend and view it with you!! Blessings and miracles are all around you... so what do you want to do? window shop? or actually partake of the blessings that God WANTS you to have and experience! THIS IS BIGGER THEN THE SUPER BOWL PEOPLE!!! OR THE WORLD CUP!! THE WORLDS BIGGEST CUP OR BOWL COULDN'T CONTAIN A FRACTION OF THE BLESSINGS THAT COME FROM GENERAL CONFERENCE!! Please take this precious time to hear what the Lord has to say to you.

This last week we met with a few amazing people!

One guy we met, Gill, recently got back from SAN DIEGO CALIFORNIA WHERE HIS SON LIVES!!! We started of with talking about Saints Unified Voices and is only desire was to learn about what we teach, what the Book of Mormon and the Restoration DVD taught, and a little bit of our testimony. after our meeting with him and his wife coming in a little later, we were all very excited for our next appointment!! another Lady says she wants to come to General Conference.

Friday, we had Elder Teh come and visit the Missionaries in the Cleveland and Kirtland stakes. It was amazing! He helped me understand what I and we can do differently and better. A HUGE part of it was how we can and need to be working with members in our finding and teaching. That is PARAMOUNT in missionary work. We have to be working with the members!

He also pointed out the word ALMOST. he used examples such as, "I almost missed that tree!." and "I almost committed them to be baptized." "I almost took out the garbage today!" haha it reminded me a little bit of dad. I loved it!! We can and need to give our whole selves and in return God gives us a better us. it's a pretty cool cycle ;)

Feeling the spirit like a baptist...

Hello All...Trey refers to a family that he ran into at church in Solon, OH that are close neighbor friends from Bonita/Chula Vista days. The Barnes Family. Shelly sent me the photo so I added it to the end of his other 2 photos. :) Have a great week and may we all feel the Baptist spirit! Ha Ha...love that boy.

Oh dear this week was SO FUN!!!!! so this Email is coming in on a Wednesday due to Saints Unified Voices this last weekend which was SO FUN!!! We were able to bring investigators to 3 of the 4 sessions and we helped take down and put everything away Saturday evening with the Crew. Both nights we didn't get home until 12:30 or 1:00 and i got to drive! we had so much fun!! The songs were incredible and the spirit was felt in an unfamiliar way... I was totally standing up, sitting down, Saying "AMEN" and "Hallelujah" and after 3 sessions i even knew some of the songs!!! My baptist side was comin' out somethin' FIERCE!! but i LOVED IT!! and so did everyone there!! Sister Gladys Knight McDowel's Testimony was powerful and so was her husbands. the spirit was strong and they were absolutely hysterical! one concern that he had when he was investigating the church was not whether it was true, he KNEW it was true, his concern was as he expressed in prayer... "I know it's true but, why'd you have to give it to a white boy?" after a few fervent prayers sincerely asking that question the response from the Holy Spirit was, "He's not a white boy, He's you brother."

One instance because there are far too many to mention them all was our investigator Janice and her sister Brenda who has been investigating for 5 years invited 6 of their friends. most of which had preconceived notions that we as a church were un-accepting towards others and their culture. by the middle of the fireside everyone felt this incredible spirit in the room and unity that could not be denied.Those women had the chance to come to know who we really are as members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. as a whole, these fireside produced over 600 referrals for our mission and around 10-13 were for our area. Each of those are knowingly requesting a copy of the Book of Mormon, "the Restoration" DVD, and a CD of a few songs from the Choir that they heard that night. One lady came up to us with excitement and boldness saying, "You better get me a copy of the Book of Mormon." It was so incredible to see and be a part of that! We are so excited and blessed to have this opportunity to visit and work with these people and the members that invited them. 

Hey, We also ran into The Barnes Family at Church! Sis Barnes will be sending a photo...Parker is HUGE! I'm sending 2 other photos of me with Families we LOVE serving and teaching here in Solon!

I love you all and Keep up the Prayers!! Invite someone to do something church related this week! then write your experience down. i promise youthat youwill feel the spirit encouraging what to do and what to say. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, our Savior. Amen.

Golly it's Fall in Kirtland!

OH MY GOODNESS GOLLY GRACIOUS AND ALL THAT IS GREAT! THIS WEEK HAS BEEN INSANE!! It feels like all we have done was meetings this week and not much opportunity to really proselyte but that's the way the donkey dances sometimes :) Although at Transfers this week Elder Stucki and I (MTC comp and boss awsome) did the musical number... "I Stand All Amazed" (1 of my moms top 5 favs) with "I Know That My Redeemer Lives". I was singing melody and solo with elder stucki playing piano and tenor harmonizing. He is so talented and we just both enjoy being musical, it was beautiful. The spirit was there so strong and we all really felt the love of our Savior there at that meeting! Sometimes those meeting are all you need to buoy you up and carry you thru another 6 weeks.

I am staying here for at least 6 more weeks in Solon and Kirtland! Which I am very excited about. there are so many good things in the oven and on the stove that we got cooking up. I may not be here for the feast when we actually partake of those fruits but I was there for the preparation and I loved seasoning them with all my heart and I will continue to go & do!

We had 2 investigators come to church and one of them accepted BAPTISM WOOT WOOT!!!!! She has said that she loves the gospel thus far but wont set a date just yet. she knows what we have taught so far is good and of God. The spirit has been POWERFUL every lesson and her questions are good. So we will just keep plunking along!

I am so sorry that I don't have too much time with some reports I still need to get out but there are so many miracles happening everyday! I am exhausted, I am stressed out and I love it with all of my heart!! I don't want it any other way! There are lots of missionaries to teach and serve as well as members and those searching, I know that the Lord prepares his children for their callings and for everything that he asks us to do! I am grateful for this gospel! I love you all!! thank you for your love and support! I would love to hear from YOU!

Gearing up for Gladys!!

Hello Dear Family and Friends,

We are getting ready for a Tsunami of the Spirit here and we need it!

So the good news, GOT MY PACKAGE!!! XO   And bad news, Sorry... no photos to send you all. I know I need to do better at that and I just have to try harder. This week will be a chance to take a few because I'm not too insanely busy yet, but the week after that and the one after that will be INSANE!!!!!!! 

There is Gladys Knight and Saints Unified Voices Choir (Grammy Award winning) coming to Cleveland and Akron for 4 sessions of spirit and testimony along with some Southern gospel music. (I know you are thinking "Great Photo Op" but my hands will be setting up, serving and greeting the people and problem solving of course. I need a photographer ;) At each session there should be about 1200 people and half of them being non members at least. Within 2 days after the presentation we as missionaries will be stopping by everyone who fills out this request card and following up with their experience with a gift basket consisting of a CD from the Choir, a BofM and a Restoration of the gospel DVD. How Sweet is that! And elder Michael John U. Teh will be coming to the mission the Friday after that... it will be insanely Busy again!! Our ward alone has invited and expects around 278 people to attend at least one of the sessions of Saints Unified Voices. We are so excited and I am anticipating a very stressful but good week as a leader right now. but, as stated by 2 stake presidents here in the mission, "This is the best missionary opportunity in this area since Sidney Rigdon shared the gospel with his congregation." This has great spiritual power to be released, we just have to be the ones to help others know what to do with the release. So that's the basic gist of things :) IT IS CRAZY!! but I wouldn't have it any other way!

The youth will be key. I'm pretty sure the youth of the church don't realize that they are the real force for missionary work!! Their examples, choices and influence on friends members and non-members alike have a lasting impression. I have seen this in OHIO.  The work only goes as well as we are worthy. I know this to be true and have seen some effects from unworthy service. I know that i am worthy to be here, and that I can serve these people with my whole self and then some because that is what I was raised to do, I love to give to God, He makes me better and that is what I am doing my very best to do. The blessings of the gospel are not worth losing... and yes you CAN lose blessings. Just as quickly as you gained it you can loose it. I plead with each member of the church and each person who lives or everyone who can read this to search ponder and pray for the things that we must do to return to our Father in Heaven. Repentance is real and it requires action. The atonements is beautiful when we redeem ourselves with our REDEEMER! I love you dad, mom, family, teachers, past bishops and leaders. I thank you for all that you have done for me.

I love the church. it is true!! I have this poem that another elder sent me and I rather enjoyed it!! Miracles galore for me to still share but I need to go!!I cannot be late for Dinner with Stake Pres.... I know this Gospel of Jesus Christ is true because it changes lives, especially mine!! Love to you all!   

My son, the time has come. You must go.

AHH Hello My Friends and Family!

I LOVE THOSE PHOTOS OF MACK'S AND ESPECIALLY THE TETONS! I can hear them singing from here!

So with a few other updates going on I'm going to be super fast!! we had not been able to meet with our less active Ace for about a month! he is awesome but has found himself caught between a rock and a hard spot! he is really working on getting back! i love this church and the power of the atonement that is accessed as we do and live the commandments of God!! 

no one was able to make it church this week but we are feeling the excitement from the members and their missionary work is really starting to roll!! we invited a member to retake the missionary lessons and invited on of his friends to come and let their son Mark prepare for his mission as he teaches the lessons with us. THEY ACCEPTED!! there are so many small miracles surrounding us! we just need to take the precious time to look around and recognize what a miracle really is and how many of them occur every day! this is such an amazing thing that has helped me look for and see the positive more in all things. i would like to invite you to look for and write down the small miracles that you have seen throughout the day, at the close of you day. i promise that as you do you will come to truly thank God for this wonderful world, and for the opportunity to be living at this time in this place where you are now!

Alright to start let me first speak on the subject that is on everyone's mind since last week's letter.... The ribs were INCREDIBLE!!! :D baked beans and potato salad too!!! I have been here in Solon the entire summer and this is the first time of me getting baked beans.... it tasted so good :) now onto the miracle that happened during that dinner.

We got there and the ribs were still cooking on their brand new smoker and so we met a few of the family that was coming in and out. and then everyone ended up in the backyard before we ate. Their neighbors came over and started to talk too. I don't have a ton of time but to make a long story short, Elder Oberst ended up talking with Marvin his wife and their son and daughter in-law, and I ended up talking with the neighbors. My conversation started by addressing their questions on polygamy. Sister wives came up (I do hate that TV show). After using biblical examples and speaking about it a bit, the conversation ended with everyone involved saying that it is OK ONLY if and when God commands it out of need. Which is true according to the bible and God's teachings. And Polygamy has been commanded by God to be ended until he sees fit. The conversation was great and spirit filled instead of tense.We are going back to meet with them (both families) this week :)
All during Dinner we spoke about missions and what we do and how things kind of work.... which lead quite nicely into doing what we said we did :) We ended up teaching the Restoration to Marvin and his wife and left them with a copy of the Book of Mormon. She seemed curious about the Book of Mormon and Joseph Smith, and Marvin asked why there are so many churches before we started. After having addressed that concern and testifying with the Spirit that this church is the true church and the Kingdom of God once again established on the Earth, they both committed to pray about it. Great!!
I know that Christ is my living Savior and because of him I may live with him and my Father in Heaven again... a quote by brad Wilcox puts it nicely, "Easter is the day that Christ slapped YOLO in the face." Right you are Brother Willcox, right you are.
This Church is the gospel of Jesus Christ and His gospel is all true or it is all false, and I wouldn't come all the way out here to tell a lie. THIS CHURCH IS TRUE!!

Trey's Week July 24!

Holy Chupacabra this week was crazy once again and miracles are just flying! 2 quick sorties again then i gotta dash.

 

Elder Oberst and i have been doing our best to find those that are ready to hear the gospel and accept it. specifically we have been praying for a family to teach and a couple. As we have been talking with people have been trying to listen to the spirit for those who are ready for the next step in their relationship with Jesus Christ. After about 5 weeks of praying, searching and discerning, we got in contact with a less active sister who has a non-member husband and 2 kids ages 13 and 11. we helped them clean out their garage and oraganize it (like how we do at home) and set things up the way the mother told us (not like home). she expressed how she wants to come to church and takes us coming back into her life is a sign. her husband has missed the open friendly culture or Africa and is searching for somthing like that. he felt a connection with us as missionaries and memebr of the church of jesus christ of latter-day saints. we taught the restoration and on our way out, they committed themselves to come to church, read the book of mormon and the pamphlet we left them, and to have questions next time we meet. the son said that he was going to start reading as soon as we leave and the daughter was involved and asking questions the whole time!! THIS GOSPEL IS TRUE!!

 

Then there is this man Marvin. we have helped paint his house with him and he had a group of guys that were supposed to come but never did. we were the only ones who showed up to help. as we were moving furniture his wife expressed her thanks (they are black by the way) and she asked us the golden question, "Do ya'll eat ribs?" :D YES WE EAT RIBS!!! we are going over on saturday!!! Marvin said we are welcome to come over anytime!! so we are going to see waht we can do in sharing the gospel and they share their smoked beef BBQ ribs :)

This will be SUPER SHORT!!

We gotta get running right now so I am throwing this together real quick! ZL (zone leader) is busy and it's a good kind of crazy! But please know I love you all!! Keep the prayers up and look for times to "Let your light so Shine"!

That sounds like an awesome week back home! I always hear great things about girls camp when my friends would tell me about it and the things they seem to remember most would be the Bishop firesides.  Tiara is AWESOME!! We all know this (ha ha) but it doesn't hurt to restate! Way to go T for volleyball too!! That is awesome! Way to play! And way NOT to play on Sunday!! I'm sure the pressure is great but you have the faith that obedience to the Lord's commandments will bless you :)

Tucker is a stud too! Knockin' doors in AZ 110 degrees keeps him close to my heart knockin' doors in Ohio, our family is boss awesome in work! I love each and everyone of you! I sent you a photo showing off part of my missionary tan...ha ha...the marks of a man! :)

the gospel is so true! There was an awesome experience with a less active sister in our ward that let us in and said that she normally is too busy to answer which is true according to our sources. When she answered the door AND let us in, which alone is a miracle and spoke with us about her husband and son and how concerned she is for them. They have fallen on some bad health times... nothing we can't relate too right!! :D lol... I have come to see how all of the so-called "hard times", "issues" and "problems" in my life are actually tools to help those around me feel loved, accepted, and welcomed into something that they didn't know they were looking for. I thank my God everyday for those experiences of Lyme, pain and the loneliness that accompanies it! Thank you mom & dad for helping me through those times so I may be able to help others now. I truly thank my Savior for making it possible to change and better ourselves each day. What he suffered is unfathomable!

We felt the spirit so strong with this Sister as she was talking with us and gave great spiritual experiences that she knows God is there with her and expressed her concern for her husband and son. We are meeting with her this Wednesday! I know this church is true and just like this dear sister I know that God answers prayers. This church is God's kingdom once again established on the earth and it is my testimony to say that the Lord's authority is and can only be found in, the Church of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints. I know this is true!!

Love you dad! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! Keep the fire blazing in the Cardiff Ward! They need a good Bishop Brent Toolson to do it and I'm so glad I have you as a dad and a Bishop! :)

BAPTISM LAST WEEK +Bonus :)

 

HELLO ALL!

 

So you know how we had a baptism last week? I didn't mention quite possibly one of the greatest things that I have ever before heard or seen happen ever in my life. Alex's mother-in-law was there and saw her son-in-law whom she despised and wanted to throw out, get baptized. The spirit was so incredibly strong and Alex was so excited. after the service Jeanne, Alex's mother-in-law, who has taken missionary lessons before said, "I'm next." SHE WANTS TO GET BAPTIZED!!! In fact she committed HERSELF to be baptized into this church because she felt the spirit testify to her that this way is the right way that God has prepared for the whole of human kind to return to God. When an investigator commits themselves to baptism... THE LORD HAS BEEN IN THE WORK LONG BEFORE!!! I know that is true!!

This has been such an amazing week!!! President Vellinga came out teaching with us on Wednesday night and all of the lessons just went so incredibly well and the spirit in every single one of them was so strong!! But I want to tell about the one lesson that President Vellinga wasn't there for first.

Sister Lisa Shell. This is the lady who had missionaries about a year ago contact her and give her the phone number for this area. we met with her this last week and we absolutely, totally and completely without a doubt had the assistance from the holy spirit as we taught and spoke. We read the Introduction with her and NEVER have I EVER heard of anybody read the Introduction with such wonder and fascination. We will be talking about the Plan of Salvation next visit which will be incredible!! I know this Church is true!! I wish I could talk about everything that ever happened this week but I just don't have the time. 

Just know that this church is true, it is "Gods kingdom once again restored to the earth preparatory to the second coming of the messiah," and live the teachings found in the word of God both revealed anciently and contemporaneously and you will have eternal life. baptism by someone holding the authority of God is essential to returning to him. That authority is found ONLY in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I KNOW IT!! and that will never change. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ amen.

Fathers of Faith

I love my Father in Heaven and I love my Father here. I love my Father here, because he loves our Father who is in heaven. I want to be like my father here because he wants to be like his father in heaven. I want to be like my Father in Heaven so I will follow my Father here. Thank you dad for your great example to me! Thank you for leaving behind such clear footsteps behind so that i might follow you so closely in a righteous path. i will follow you because you follow Him. In following your example I follow the example of the Savior. thank you for your service and thank you for your love. To my Grandpas as well...I have a rich legacy to follow in.

This week was absolutely incredible!!! guess what.... WE HAD A BAPTISM!!! "What? he never talked about a baptism..." i know because we kept pushing it back.... but he did it!!! he is prepared to recieve the gift of the Holy Ghost. He is ready to hold the priesthood of God. He understands what that all means and the promises he has made to the Creator. i know this church is true and so does Alexander. He knows the saviors atonement is real, and that he has fully accessed the power of it in cleansing himself and his life. I know it, he knows it, we know it.


Quick story that has shown me who's work this really is. We recieved a call from a woman who spoke with the missionaries about a year ago and they left their number. She called asking for some helping with digging a ditch.... I can do that!!!  Heck I've done that my whole LIFE, I'm a Toolson!! So we were pumped! She went on to explain that she didn't know anyone that she could trust because the people that she would hire would give the price over the phone then jack it up x4 when they went to do the job and just make her unload and drain her funds. The ONLY people that she KNEW she could trust were the members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The only number that she had that had anything to do with that church was ours.... what are the odds? What are the chances? The lord has used so many people to prepare her for the messages as we dug and got dirty (which was AWESOME) she was asking what we believed and we had an incredible discussion. She then took us to Burger King and we got onto the "sealing power" that was given to Elijah. As we spoke about the temple, the restoration of that power and priesthood, the spirit was testifying to each of our hearts that it was TRUE. She felt the spirit and we are meeting again this week.


I know this church is true with all of heart! This is His work and this is his glory. I love my Savior and his atoning sacrifice! This is true for eternity, In the name of Jesus Christ amen.

Memorial Week- Painting Pres Snow's House- Farley's

Hello everybody!! (the way Gru says it in "Despicable Me" before he announces they are going to steal the moon.) This week flew by and it was jam packed but I can't seem to remember the order of a single bit of it!!  So please excuse the lack of detail. 

That sounds like Fast & Testimony was amazing in the Cardiff Ward! WOW, what a meeting!! We had a great sacrament meeting too in Solon and I wish I got up to bare my testimony but I have been down with a bad cold, NOT... apparently I have allergies!! (DAD!) Then I learned that there are around 45,000 different kind of trees in Ohio that are feeling Spring... so that would make sense why I never figured it out before. because there is like only one major tree in Carlsbad... the palm tree.  Ha ha, I know there are a few others but let's be real!!! Elder Anderson got up and bore testimony when there was a short pocket of no one getting up. After that there wasn't a single gap! Strong spirit even though he didn't say anything special, it was a very simple, pure testimony that was led by the spirit. President Vellinga was there and he told me to go home after Fast & Testimony meeting. Then our ward mission leader gave me some drugs :) that helped but i'm still pretty groggy and out of it. No, Lyme hasn't hit so we are good with that. I could use more Frankincense though and On Guard. The other stuff is doing well.

We talked with a man this week who said it would be a waste to talk to him. We felt the promptings and testified again and again and he seemed to open up more and more. We left him with a pamphlet and said that he drives a member of our church to work meetings and she hounds him to talk with missionaries and to go to church. then he said, "You know, I might check this out, it might be what I am looking for." We asked him to expound and then he said, "there is always that void." Elder Anderson and I testified from the depths of our hearts that THIS IS IT!!!!! He said he would check it out. I have been praying for him that he would feel the spirit in our words and would act on them. his name is Ronald. It was so amazing to feel the spirit testify through us! I love this gospel because it is true. 

We met with a lady named Terri! Oh man she is so cool!! Elder Anderson met her while we were on exchanges so this was my first time meeting her. She had already read the introduction and the testimonies of the 11 witnesses and the 1st page of Joseph Smith's testimony!!! It was amazing! She is already gaining a testimony that this is true and that this book is of a divine nature!!

How amazing the gospel is!

I actually just read an email from Tiffany Parent who is still flying high with the spirit because she is living what the Lord has asked her to live. What an amazing spirit she has and sounds like the baptism was great!  I need to find sometime somewhere to get a short 2 minute video to send to Mindy for the video for Tiffany. i love Tiffany she is awesome! She emailed me such a great letter which I'm not allowed to respond to because she is a Sister in the mission. But i will see if i can get permission to email her back from President. He Loves her too!

I know this church is true. The Book of Mormon is the word and work of God that was recorded by his ancient prophets in the Americas. It blesses our lives and there is no doubt it is true! I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ and as his representative.

I love you guys!!

Elder Anderson DID IT! Zone Leaders Love Moms Cookies!

Hello Family and Friends,

This week was absolutely insane and we have another one coming up!! There were so many things to do!! Ha ha it felt so good to be sooo busy and IT AINT OVER YET!! So many preparations from ZLs with a visiting Apostle coming and it's pure JOY! Then TONS of Service which my hands clearly needed (see photos) Can't get soft! If I am His Hands they should Look like I've Worked, Eh?!! 1 Year OUT??? Time is flying by!THE HUMP DAY PACKAGE WAS AWESOME!!

We ate those cookies so fast!  haha. Everything was PERFECT! I love the tie and pocket square! Thank you so much!! the socks were SO VERY MUCH NEEDED!!


The song for our upcoming Elder Holland meeting is going great. No, I don't have any audio to run for that, I might be able to have Elder Boothe or Elder Mikkelson (elder I'm living with now) record it... we'll have to see :)

HEY...those fires are scary! Hello, this isn't fire season!!! I'm glad to hear everyone for the most part is okay and that everyone is safe. Why would people start a fire!? Oh my goodness! I keep everyone in prayers but praying extra for my grams 'n gramps and LeSeuers + Sagey, Case & Sies... that's gotta be tough. 

We had a Mission President's fireside last night that was incredible! Our investigator Alex spoke as well as a recent convert, Heather. Both of their testimonies were incredible and so strong with the spirit! We also has a member of the Stake Presidency there and a member of the mission presidency. their words were so strong and effected the few people that had made the choice to go. It was such a good night!

WE HAD A LESS ACTIVE COME TO CHURCH!!!! his name is Ace!! oh man he is hilarious! he has been in between a rock and a hard place recently and as he really started to make Christ a part of his life again, we run into him while looking for someone else! we had an incredible sacrament meeting! The sister missionaries also brought an investigator that they met Saturday night 10 minutes before they had to get home! His name is DJ and he is funny too. not as cool as ace but still cool. Gospel principles was awesome and was centered on the law of Chastity!! Ace was practically teaching the thing!!! it was sweet!! but we will see how things go when we challenge him to live it again because he is living with his girlfriend. 

During third hour, all of the adults and youth met in the chapel to discuss media and pornography. Our bishop took it by the horns and did a fantastic job in showing how the Internet is like going on a trip and you must have a destination and a drive to get there, otherwise you wonder aimlessly. in explaining what kind of destination we want, Bishop asked, "where is a place that you felt happy and safe?" DJ (sisters random find on Saturday night) raises his hand and says, "when I'm on my medication!" HAHAHAHA the sisters had no idea about this guys background or even really who he was... so I guess they have a better idea now... DJ came to both Sacrament meeting AND the fireside and is planning on coming to church next week because he felt, "light and love from all of these positive people." WHAT A GUY!!

Ace should be coming next week too!!

I love being a missionary! I love being able to testify every single day! this is bringing my family closer together and is protecting them while I am away and the fires are blazzing! this church is so true!!

Trey's Week of Change

HOLY COW!! A busy week for everyone!! It's soo good to hear that everyone is doing so well! So everyone looks good but I'm waitin to see photos of this Sarah girl!! I WANNA BE SOME PART OF THIS!!! I mean it is my Bro Tucker!

 

HELLO Everybody! Coming at you live from sunny.... Cleveland. it's actually NOT Sunny but that's ok because... "THERE IS SUNSHINE IN MY SOUL TODAY!!" President Vellinga was talking about this one billboard about a disease on the freeway and 1 in 250 are carriers... if we look at the statistics... the membership of the church is pretty similar. 1 in 250 are carriers of the best news in the world!!! This "disease" can be transferred in many various ways but it seems a few are catching the earlier symptoms. These being: happy, uplifted, see things with a more positive light, and want to feel more of the lord in their lives through listening and reading His words... let's take a closer look at the victims of one of the worlds fastest spreading "diseases". ME!  ha ha ...

 

We went to Longhorn Steakhouse because we had a gift card (still lovin' my Easter Box Mom & Dad) and as we were getting ready to order one of the managers came over and started a little small talk with us. His name was Josh super chill guy. He small talked about the weather and that always is perfect segway to bring up San Diego! Turns out he is from dog beach San Diego!!! ha ha,  He also had a really good friend who was a member of our church and he attended a meeting once and said he really liked it. We asked why he stopped if he liked it so much. He was in the military and moved around a ton, but said, "I have been able to speak with a lot of people from different churches and I gotta say that yours is the best! He asked for our names, church address and phone number!!!!!!! so Stoked!

 

Then there was another guy that we met tracting. His name is Jeff, his twin brothers son committed suicide but he was amazed as to how well his brother delt with it because of his faith in Christ (not a member but sounds prepared too). We shared Helaman 5:12 and read a little more in th BofM and he really liked it. he said multiple times, "You guys came at a great time. I needed this." so amazing!! We met with our investigator Janet and chastized her with love for not coming to church. She committed to come this week FOR SURE and we are meeting with her friday!

 

The bummer is after ALL OF THIS... I get transferred!! I am heading out tomorrow to somewhere else that President V says I am needed. I am so happy that I have been able to serve these people in this area of Medina and to be able to feel of the holy spirit work on us and through us to help others come to know the most eternal truth ever, that Christ lives, he is real, there is a God and he loves us. Yes it has been hard to find people to teach but the Lord is hastening his work!!! That is fact esspecially after this week!! we found 2 potential investigators and got a hold of another potential that we have had for a while and we are going to meet with them all before I leave!!! I have been released as a district leader and called ot be a Zone Leader. I am a little scared and overwhelmed at the responsibilities but mostly that I'm over a zone that I've never served in! But i know that this is the Lords work and that he is allowing me to grow and learn furthur through this calling. PRAYERS ARE WELCOME!!!! Please haha. Im OFF on a traveling adventure, destination unknown, I will let you know where I am on Monday next week!

I have had a wonderful time with Elder Boothe and my musical companions. I hope to carry on with another great companion and keep up the service and teaching as the Lord would. He is the Master of Mighty Miracles and I have seen them work through me. He has blessed us with a prophet to restore the same exact church that was structured by Christ himself. These things are true and I cannot deny it. "I [know] it, I [know]that God [knows] it." -Jospeh Smith jr. propeht seer and revelator. This is it!! LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL ON!! like the stone cut form a mountain ;)

PS  Elder Trey Mosier III is married in the Sand Diego Temple? That's sweet! He definitely chose the right place to do it ;) SAN DIEGO!!!! 

I am doing a session on the way home!!!! I am getting released, flying home and heading straight there to the temple!!! How is Kelly doing!? Please tell her and the girls too, Hello and I think about them often!  Much LOVE sent to all of them!

 Because my dad wasn't there on Sunday morning to sing this song like he usually does I had to do it to keep tradition, "Oh what a beautiful MOOOORning, oh what a beautifull DAYYYY I've got a wonderful FEEELLLIIINNGGG EVERything's GOIng my WAYYYYY!!!!!!!" Happy Easter, and what a Happy Easter it was!!!

We have had so many great experiences but I have to get going cause today is packed so this will be a little short!!! Lo siento!

 

This Easter was incredible!!! We had stake conference Easter weekend and it was amazing! Elder Michael John U. Teh (a member of the 1st quorum of the 70) came. He is one of the Seventies who spoke in Gen. Conference:)  As we were listening to him at the Saturday Night Session for some reason I began to fantasize if he were to ask for a volunteer to go up and speak on something I said to myself, I would share this recent experience, "only if he asks for a full-time missionary to do it THEN I will do it." They were beginning to show a video then there were some technical difficulties, so in improvisation he asked to a full-time missionary companionship to come up. I smiled and thought how funny and peculiar the spirit is in preparing us to do things! Elder Boothe and I went up and he asked what our thoughts feelings and experiences are and have been ever since "the work was hastened." We told the story about how we found Janet and how the spirit truly does prepare people for us to teach, and invite. The Lord has prepared us, and the Lord has prepared them. All we have to do is act on what the spirit tells us to do. Elder Teh said, "Our job is to keep up with the work as it is hastened." I LOVE IT!!! Because surely it will move on regardless!!! It is up to us if we want to keep up!! And that is what is expected of ALL of us!!

Stake conference was an incredible experience!!  Elder Teh is an amazing man and he loves the Lord and he loves this work! Being able to speak a long side him was a tender moment! Elder Boothe is a stud!!! I love this kid and we are really finding success!! 

YES, Easter Sunday was also incredible!! Amazing that we started with conference in the morning again but then we didn't have a too productive day planned because nobody wanted to schedule anything for then and nobody wants us to knock on their door ha ha...so we had dinner with an amazing family!! The K's! Super Cool! Then to another members house who had their less active brother over. Turns out they also had their neighbors over who weren't members but wondered about Mormons. We talked and they asked what we do. We explained and ended up sharing a message and they really want us to stop by sometime soon to teach!!! Also the Cornetts who we stopped teaching because they got too busy for us showed up and we shared a message with them too!! It was so cool!!! They are wanting to meet regularly now so we are stoked!!

THANK YOU SO MUCH!  THE EASTER BOX WAS AMAZING!!!!! I LOVE EVERY BIT OF IT! I HAVE BEEN STUDYING THE SYMBOLISM IN THE SCRIPTURES HANDOUTS LIKE CRAZY!!! THERE IS AMAZING STUFF TUCKED AWAY WHEN YOU UNDERSTAND THESE!!! Elder Boothe and I have been talking about how we want to understand all of that stuff and you TOTALLY heard the spirit send that message to you and sent EXACTLY what we needed!! Thanks also to Pops and Brothers for the Bomb Eggs! I am loving all the scriptures and the toys are all being well used haha!! Elder boothe broke one on accident and we are all having a ball anyway! The toys always have a short life span and it keeps things in perspective,  they are temporal anyway :)! Oh, my ties and pocket squares SO TOTALLY ROCK!!!!

There are so many things to be grateful for and I can't name them all, my family, my mission, my companions thus far, my mission President, the servants who serve, Christ my Lord and Redeemer, and every single example that I have to follow in righteousness just to name a few. So good to hear the family is staying so close!! Families are essential and Satan has been attacking them for centuries. The Lord knows how to combat it. That is what this gospel is for. it pains me to see people view the gospel as a pain and a burden, when in fact "it is wings that lift us." keep in mind, "you can tell true Christians by their buoyancy."

That sounds like an incredible Cardiff Sacrament meeting! I love the ones when you get to cry the whole time!! I also wish I could have been there for that meeting with Elders Ballard, Maines and Sabin dad! that sounds incredible!! we actually got a big visit and push to do the same by elder Michael John U. Teh for stake conference! I am so glad I now have a fixed date to meet Tiffany AND Elder Holland!?! Cant wait till May and all the things happening for Tiffany and Elder Holland?!?! WHAT!? You know das right. ;)!!!

I know this gospel is the true word of God! the flaming sword of the word of God protects, uplifts, and leads us back to our father in heaven. I love the feeling of learning. I love the knowledge and light I receive! I love having the opportunity to serve and love as He, our Lord omnipotent, does for us. it's a hard long and slow learning curve... way worse then snowboarding, but that is where we find it's worth!

I LOVE THIS GOSPEL WITH ALL MY HEART AND I LOVE THESE PEOPLE IN OHIO TOO!! it is fun fun to testify, and learn and just have a blast learning how i can be better!!!
